Design features of outer spherical bearing seat:
The outer spherical ball bearing is actually a variant of the deep groove ball bearing, characterized by its spherical outer diameter surface, which can be fitted into the corresponding concave spherical surface of the bearing seat for centering purposes. Although its basic performance should be similar to that of deep groove ball bearings, due to the fact that this type of bearing is mostly used in relatively rough machinery, such as insufficient installation positioning, poor alignment of the axis between the shaft and the seat hole, or large deflection due to the length of the shaft, and the fact that the accuracy of the bearing itself is not high enough, some structures are also relatively rough, the actual performance of deep groove ball bearings with the same specifications should be given a considerable discount.
Outer spherical ball bearings are mainly used to withstand combined radial and axial loads, mainly radial loads. Generally, they are not suitable for bearing axial loads alone. This type of bearing can be installed with an inner ring (with a full set of rollers and retainers) and an outer ring respectively. Outer spherical ball bearings do not allow the shaft to tilt relative to the housing, which can generate additional axial forces under radial loads. The size of the axial clearance of an outer spherical ball bearing has a significant impact on the normal operation of the bearing. When the axial clearance is too small, the temperature rise is high; When the axial clearance is large, the bearing is easily damaged. Therefore, during installation and operation, special attention should be paid to adjusting the axial clearance of the bearing. If necessary, pre interference installation can be used to increase the rigidity of the bearing.
