1、 Scuffing injury


The reason for this type of condition is that the insufficient use of lubricant in the bearing or the rupture of the lubricating oil film cause a sharp increase in the friction coefficient between the bearing components, resulting in friction heat that causes the temperature rise of the bearing. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the phenomenon that one side adheres to the surface of the other side occurs due to the different melting points between the friction surfaces in contact with each other. During the continuous operation of the bearing, the metal material on the original surface will detach and tightly adhere to another contact surface, resulting in an increase in the roughness of the bearing surface. The occurrence of this situation will form a vicious circulation system with temperature rise and vibration, causing complete damage to the bearings.


2、 Corruption damage

According to the differences in the shape of corrosive substances, they can be divided into three types: fluid corrosion, gas corrosion, and current corrosion.


1. Fluid corrosion

Refers to an environment in which bearings come into contact with fluid for a long time during operation, and the attack force generated by the fluid will inevitably damage the details of the bearings, causing them to show dotted scars. The very obvious characteristic of this type of hazard is that the hazard profile is slippery.

2. Gas corrosion

Refers to the damage caused by corrosive gas or greasy oil bubbles on SKF bearings, often causing spongy scars on the details of the bearings.


3. Current corrosion

Refers to bearings used on mechanical equipment such as electric motors. Due to the occurrence of electrical sparks in the bearing tightening sleeve factory between the conflicting details of the bearings, the appearance of dotted scars on the bearings has occurred.


3、 Scratch damage

This type of damage occurs due to the presence of hard particles between the conflicting details of the bearing, the cutting of the greasy oil film, and other reasons, resulting in linear scars on the conflicting details of the bearing.
