For high load and high-speed bearings with seats, when adjusting the clearance, it is necessary to consider the impact of temperature rise on the axial clearance, and estimate the clearance reduction used by temperature rise, that is, the axial clearance should be adjusted appropriately.
For bearings with low speed and vibration, clearance free installation should be adopted to ensure good contact between the rollers of the seated bearing and the raceway, and diffuse load. After adjustment, measure the axial clearance with a dial indicator. The technique is to fix the dial indicator on the machine body or bearing seat, make the dial indicator contact stand against the smooth surface of the bearing, and push the shaft left and right along the axial direction. The large swing of the watch needle is axial clearance. The adjustment of the bearing axial clearance in the bearing axial direction is the adjustment of the preload.
