We hope to open the fastening sleeve packaging shortly before installation. General grease lubrication, without cleaning, directly fill with grease. For lubrication with lubricating oil, it is not necessary to clean it in general. However, for instrument or high-speed use, it is necessary to clean the set sleeve with clean oil to remove the rust inhibitor applied to the set sleeve. The locking sleeve with the rust inhibitor removed is prone to rust, so it cannot be left unattended. Moreover, the locking sleeve that has been sealed with lubricating grease can be directly used without cleaning.

The installation method of the fastening sleeve varies depending on the structure, fit, and condition of the fastening sleeve. Generally, due to shaft rotation, the inner ring requires an interference fit. The cylindrical hole fastening sleeve can be pressed in by a press or by a hot fitting method. In the case of a tapered hole, it can be installed directly on a tapered shaft or with a sleeve.

When installing to the housing, there is usually a lot of clearance fit, and the outer ring has an interference amount. Usually, a press is used to press in, or there is also a cold shrink fit method for installing after cooling. When using dry ice as a coolant for cold shrink fit installation, moisture in the air will condense on the surface of the adapter sleeve. Therefore, appropriate rust prevention measures are required.
