How to install the bearings correctly? What is the difference between a set sleeve and a release sleeve?
The tight sleeve is a commonly used bearing accessory and is also the most commonly used component for positioning cylindrical shafts with tapered holes, as it can be used on optical or trapezoidal shafts. Perhaps many people don't know much about the adapter sleeve yet. The following article will tell you how to install the bearing correctly? What is the difference between a fixed sleeve and a unloading sleeve?
How to install the bearings correctly?
(1) Preparation before installation
Before installation, carefully clean the mounting surfaces of the tightening and dismounting sleeves to avoid sharp corners and burrs. If any protrusions are found, polish them with special abrasive paper in a timely manner to avoid mutual wear between the bearings and the shaft, which may affect the assembly accuracy. All the friction surfaces on the shaft need to be coated with butter.
After finishing, the inner and outer diameters of the tight sleeve and withdrawal sleeve are both floating body sizes under the influence of material gravity and a small amount of material stress. Sometimes, the inner and outer diameters of the floating body are larger than the standard size, which does not affect assembly. However, when the floating body size is smaller than the standard size, the assembly will place the support block at the opening to control the inner hole size to be larger than the standard size for assembly purposes. When initially installing to the predetermined position, the support block at the opening must be taken out for the fastening and dismounting sleeves to facilitate the locking assembly work.
Note: Suitable tightening sleeves should be selected according to the bearing situation. There are many types of fasteners sold on the market, with different models and prices for different brands. If the fastening kit needs to be replaced, it must be selected according to the bearing model and brand. Only the fastening sleeve purchased in this way is suitable, and there will be no wear and adhesion problems with the fastening sleeve. (2) Installation steps of bearing adapter sleeve
1. Apply grease to the inner diameter, outer diameter, threads, and large end faces of the locking sleeve and the release sleeve.
2. Assemble the locking sleeve or withdrawal sleeve with the bearing and initially lock it with a lock nut or hydraulic nut. At the same time, use a hand-held oil pump to inject high-pressure oil into the end face (one oil hole for the locking sleeve and two oil holes for the withdrawal sleeve).
3. Use a lock nut to adjust the bearing clearance. After the clearance is adjusted, directly lock it or use a hydraulic nut to install the bearing. To adjust the clearance, remove the hydraulic nut and lock it with the lock nut.
(3) Removal steps.
2. When installing the tightening sleeve and removing the sleeve, apply grease to the threads of the tightening sleeve and removing the sleeve. Remove the nut and apply grease to the end face where the bearing contacts.
2. Inject high-pressure oil into the oil hole on the end face of the tightening sleeve or withdrawal sleeve with the hand oil pump. Under the action of high-pressure oil, forcefully rotate the disassembly nut or hydraulic nut to pressurize, so as to withdraw the tightening sleeve or withdrawal sleeve. (Removing fasteners requires threaded anchor nuts at the shaft end)
What is the difference between a set sleeve and a release sleeve?
Tensioning and dismounting sleeves are generally suitable for large bearings. Fasteners are used to fasten round nuts and jacking bearings, with the opposite of the removal sleeve.
The main purpose of the utility model is to facilitate the installation and disassembly of bearings, improve work efficiency, and reduce mechanical maintenance costs. In short, it is to use a fastening sleeve for ease of installation and a sleeve release for ease of disassembly. The effect of adjusting the internal clearance can be achieved by using the withdrawal sleeve and the tightening sleeve.
The locking sleeve is convenient for adjusting the axial positioning of the bearing, and has good self-locking performance. The use of an optical shaft avoids the stress concentration phenomenon existing in the stepped shaft, which is beneficial for use in situations with heavy load transmission or impact vibration.
