Correct installation method of bearing with tightening sleeve


The sleeve is the most common component of a tapered hole bearing positioned on a cylindrical shaft because it can be used as an optical or trapezoidal shaft. This shaft sleeve is easy to install and does not require additional fixing of the shaft. When using a fixed sleeve, the bearing can be positioned anywhere on the optical axis. When the ladder shaft and the ladder ring are used together, the bearing can accurately position the axial direction, facilitating the unloading of the bearing.


The fastening method is suitable for fixing tapered hole self-aligning bearings (self-aligning ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings) on shaftless systems. It has simple structure, reliable operation, and convenient bearing replacement. It is widely used in industries such as textile, light industry, papermaking, metallurgy, belt transportation, and transportation equipment.


Installation steps


Apply grease to the fastening sleeve, inner diameter, outer diameter, thread, and large end surface.


2. Assemble the fastening sleeve or discharge sleeve with the bearing, initially lock it with a lock nut or hydraulic nut, and inject high-pressure oil into the end face (one oil hole for the fastening sleeve and two oil holes for the discharge sleeve) using a hand pump.


3. Use the lock nut to lock and adjust the bearing clearance. After adjusting the clearance, directly lock or install the bearing with a hydraulic nut. To adjust the clearance, remove the hydraulic nut and lock it with the lock nut.


4. The tapered hole self-aligning bearing is fixed on the shoulderless shaft, with simple structure, reliable operation, and convenient replacement. Including weighing sleeve, lock nut, and lock washer. The main products include H series, HE, HS, HA, OH, and other series.


During operation, the jacket temperature of the fastener sleeve is often higher than the temperature of adjacent components. Therefore, the inner ring of the fastener sleeve loosens from the shaft due to thermal deformation, and the outer side will affect the radial swing of the fastener sleeve in the housing hole due to thermal deformation. When selecting a mutual fit for auxiliary purposes, consideration should be given to reducing the temperature difference and expansion within the fastener sleeve equipment components. When the temperature difference is large, the fit gap between the selected shaft and the inner ring should be large.

In order to eliminate ductile deformation and vibration hazards, it is necessary to prevent the transition fit of fastener sleeves that require high rotational accuracy. When matching the outer side of the fastener sleeve with the molded cover shell hole, it is not possible to select a transition fit or turn it outward to the cover shell hole wall.


For fasteners installed on thick wall housings, metal housing holes, or hollow shafts, a closer fit should be selected than thin wall housing holes, iron housing holes, or solid shafts. For heavy mechanical equipment, the buckle should be used in a loose and tight manner to cooperate with each other. For tight fit, separate fastening sleeves with tapered holes in the inner ring, fastening sleeves, or discharge sleeves can be used.


When it is specified that the collar of the fastening sleeve can swing radially during mutual cooperation, the cover hole of the fastening sleeve on the outer side of the fastening sleeve should be loosened.
