Correct installation method of bearing with tightening sleeve
Sleeves are the most common parts with tapered bore bearings positioned on cylindrical shafts because they can be used as optical or trapezoidal shafts. This shaft sleeve is simple to install and does not require additional fixed shafts. When using a fixed sleeve, the bearing can be placed anywhere on the optical axis. When the ladder shaft is used together with the ladder ring, the bearing can accurately position the axial direction, facilitating the removal of the bearing.
The tight setting method is suitable for installing tapered hole self-aligning bearings (self-aligning ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings) on shaftless shafts. It has simple structure, reliable operation, and convenient bearing replacement. It is widely used in industries such as textile, light industry, papermaking, metallurgy, belt transportation, and transportation equipment.
Installation steps of bearing adapter sleeve
The inner diameter, outer diameter, thread, and large end surface of the fastening sleeve, release sleeve, and release sleeve are coated with butter.
2. Assemble the fastening sleeve or withdrawal sleeve and the bearing together, initially lock them with a lock nut or hydraulic nut, and inject high-pressure oil into the end face (one oil hole for the fastening sleeve and two oil holes for the withdrawal sleeve) using a hand pump.
3. Use the lock nut to adjust the bearing clearance. After adjusting the clearance, directly lock or install the bearing with a hydraulic nut. To adjust the clearance, remove the hydraulic nut and lock it with a lock nut.
During installation, the lock nut locks the bearing onto the sleeve between the shaft shoulder and the inner race, and the spacer must be inserted. If it is an optical shaft (without an axis) and there is no contact surface available, the axial bearing capacity of the bearing depends on the friction between the shaft and the tapered sleeve.
When installing a bearing, it is important to apply equal pressure to the circumference of the end face of the ring. To install the ring, it is strictly prohibited to directly hit the bearing end face with a hammer or other (metal) heavy tools to avoid damaging the bearing. In addition, if pressure is applied to one side of the ring (such as the outer ring) and the other side of the ring (such as the inner ring) is pressed in through a rolling body, this often causes indentation or scratches on the rolling surface, which should not be used, In particular, non separable bearings are installed on both the shaft and the bearing housing.
