Differences and similarities between integral bearing pedestal and split bearing pedestal
The selection of split bearing blocks is related to their material, structure, and size. Small holes are generally cast in steel molds or solid castings; Large holes are generally cast in sand mold; Large holes are generally cast using steel molds; Mass production can improve productivity and save materials.
Differences and similarities between integral bearing seats and partial bearing seats.
Common bearing seats
Integral bearing seat: If the sliding bearing seat is integral, the outer spherical bearing seat also belongs to. The old seat side opening cover should also belong to.
Split bearing blocks: such as SN bearing blocks, SD bearing blocks, and SNU bearing blocks.
Difference: The integral bearing seat is integral. There is no twisting like screws, which means that every part of it is interconnected.
The section bearing seat is movable, and the top cover and base can be separated. For example, SN bearing pedestal. His upper cover has two screws that can be removed. Then install the bearing and close the top cover with screws.
Handling end cap oil leakage is a meticulous task
(1) Check whether the design and manufacturing are reasonable and whether there are areas for improvement.
(2) When disassembling and assembling partial bearing pedestals, attention should be paid to making marks and not mixing or mistakenly installing them, otherwise, oil leakage may occur as much as possible.
(3) Deburr the end cap. Because the end cap is cast from aluminum alloy, it needs to be carefully polished with a polishing machine, not too much or too little. This requires an experienced master to operate.
(4) Be sure to maintain hygiene. My experience is to place the end cap in a clean place after disassembly. After polishing, wipe the debris with a rag, and then carefully clean it with gasoline. Don't forget to clean the debris in the oil leakage hole of the end cap. Otherwise, if there are debris in the oil and the bearing bush is burnt, it will be too late to repent.
The main materials are cast steel (such as ZG45), gray cast iron (such as HT200), ductile iron (such as QT400-17), or stainless steel. Cast steel is mainly used for rolling mill bearing blocks.
Like bearings, segmented bearing pedestals should also be regularly maintained in order to identify problems as soon as possible, solve them, and improve economic efficiency. After disassembly, clean the inside of the bearing seat to remove impurities; Then observe whether the aperture surface is worn and collided; Then check the shape and dimensional accuracy of the aperture surface to see if it meets current requirements. If necessary, it can be repaired or scrapped.
