Differences and similarities between integral bearing pedestal and partial bearing
Common bearings
1. Integral bearing: If the sliding bearing is integral, the outer spherical bearing also belongs to it. If the cover is opened on the old seat side, it should also belong to it.
Split bearings: such as SN bearings, SD bearings, and SNU bearings.
3. Difference: Integral bearings are integral. There are no screws or other twists, which means that every part of it is upward.
The split bearing can be movable, and the top cover and base can be separated. For example, the SN bearing block has two screws on its upper cover, which can be removed. Then, install the bearing in it and close the top cover with screws.
The selection of split bearing pedestals is related to their material, structure, and size. Small holes are generally cast using steel molds or solid castings; Large holes are generally cast in sand mold; Large holes are generally cast using steel molds; During batch production, it can improve productivity and save materials.
Cast steel, gray cast iron, ductile iron, or stainless steel are the main materials used to manufacture split bearing blocks. Cast steel is mainly used for rolling mill bearing blocks. Like bearings, split bearing pedestals should also be regularly maintained and serviced in order to detect and solve problems as soon as possible and improve economic efficiency. After removal, clean the inside of the bearing seat to remove impurities; Then observe whether the aperture surface is worn and collided; Then, check the shape and dimensional accuracy of the aperture surface to see if it meets current requirements, and repair or scrap it if necessary.
